Thornton Deadly Accident; Family of 4 perished in Colorado two-car on October 26

Thornton Deadly Accident – A devastating two-vehicle collision on Saturday night in Thornton, Colorado, left a family of four dead and one person severely injured.

The fatal crash took place around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Thornton Parkway and Washington Street, a location familiar to many in the area but now marked by tragedy.

As investigations continue, the Thornton Police Department has confirmed that the crash, which engulfed one vehicle in flames, claimed the lives of all four occupants, leaving the community in mourning.

The victims of the accident have been identified as Francisco Díaz, the father; Beatriz Núñez, the mother; and their two daughters, Paola Díaz, aged 15, and Nataly Díaz, aged 10.

According to Daniel Díaz, a relative of the victims, the family was returning from a church service and en route to a nearby Walmart when the accident occurred.

His voice heavy with sorrow, Díaz described the overwhelming shock and disbelief that has gripped the family since the tragic event. “We feel lost. We don’t even know what’s the next step,” he said, sharing how the news still feels surreal.

Díaz also recounted the heartbreaking moment he first learned of the crash. As he checked his phone, a notification about the accident, detected through a location alert service, notified him of the wreck involving his younger sister. “That’s when I ran out. I went to my car. I called my brother,” he shared, underscoring the raw and immediate nature of the tragedy’s impact on the family.

Notably, investigators are likely to analyze surveillance footage from nearby businesses and traffic cameras that could shed light on the events leading up to the accident. The goal, officials say, is to offer a measure of closure and clarity to both the grieving family and the concerned community.
