Timothy Murray Ashby Massachusetts Death – Just after 8:30 a.m. today, a Freightliner utility truck was involved in a deadly collision on I-395 southbound in Griswold.
The truck was in the right lane when it struck a metal beam guardrail and rolled over, landing on its left side. The truck belonged to Buckley Cable Construction Company, which is located in Trainer, Pennsylvania.
The collision happened between Exit 24/CT 201 in Griswold and Exit 28/Lathrop Road in Plainfield. The vehicle went off course and struck the guardrail as it got closer to a lane blockage caused by scheduled construction.
This caused the truck to slide down the roadside hill. Timothy Murray, the truck’s 42-year-old Ashby, Massachusetts, driver, was declared dead at the site after suffering fatal injuries in the collision.
To look into the event, the Traffic Services Unit Truck Squad and the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad have been sent out. They are trying to piece together what happened before the collision and determine whether there were any contributing factors.
To help with their investigation, State Police are looking for any witnesses or anyone who may have taken video of the incident. To support the continuing investigation, anyone with information is asked to get in touch with the State Police. As of right now, the inquiry is still ongoing.
