Tony Bechara of Windsor ON, has died after Lakeshore homicide incident, Glen Mayer of LaSalle charged
Ontario Provincial Police say a 47-year-old man has been charged following a weekend homicide in Lakeshore.
Just before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to an incident at a Faleria Street address.
The victim, identified by police as 47-year-old Tony Bechara of Windsor, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Glen Mayer of LaSalle has been charged with first-degree murder. He remains in custody, and the charge has not been proven in court.
“The Essex County OPP Crime Unit continues the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from OPP Forensic Identification Services and the LaSalle Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Centre of Forensic Sciences,” said OPP Constable Rich Sawyer.
