Trey Barkley Obituary – Trey Barkley, who resided in Statesville, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of seventeen, at his residence.
He was born to Wilfred Lewis Barkley, II and Jodi Lynn Barkley on May 24th 2007. The actual cause of his death has not been known.
During that time, he was participating in the Early College program for Agriculture and Science. In particular, he took great pleasure in his position as a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was actively involved in the church’s activities. He was a member of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.
In addition to spending time with his two best pals, Aidan and Rhys, he enjoyed spending time in Michigan with his Papa and Deedee, as well as listening to music and driving fast automobiles. In addition to being a fan of hot sauce, he had great pleasure in running around and playing with his brother.
The qualities of thoughtfulness, caring, and civility were consistently displayed by him. His father had a career in construction management, and he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining the Marine Corps and putting his education to use.
In addition to his parents, those who are left to honor his memory include his brother, Caleb Barkley; his grandparents, “Papa” Robert Lewis and Diane “Deedee” Lewis; his aunts and uncles, Lewis Barkley (Charity), Corie Jordan (John), Pike Jordan (Dawn), and Eric Lewis; his cherished pets, Cooper and Chase; his closest friends, Aidan and Rhys; and a large number of extended friends who were considered to be his family and who loved him deeply.
On Friday, December 13, at 4:30 p.m., there will be a Celebration of Life held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend Dieter Punt will preside over the event. Following the ceremony, the family will extend a warm welcome to friends.
