Wade Barnes Elizabethtown KY Death:- Elizabethtown Independent School District Board of Education member Wade Barnes has passed away.

He was announced dead yesterday, Wednesday, the 28th of August 2024. Wade Barnes of Elizabethtown, Kentucky died at the age of 48. No cause of death was reported.

EIS Superintendent Paul. M. Mullins’ statement on the passing of board member Wade Barnes:

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Wade Barnes, a dedicated member of the EIS School Board. As an EHS alumnus, parent, and board member, Mr. Barnes was a true champion of the E-town Panther spirit, deeply committed to upholding the traditions and values of our school district.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the entire EIS community during this time of profound grief. Mr. Barnes’ legacy of dedication and passion will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.”

Born July 13, 1976, Wade Barnes was an energetic EIS School Board member whose community impact extended beyond his official duties. Wade was a distinguished EHS alumnus with a strong connection to the institution and its tradition. As a board member and a dad, he actively supported his children’s education.

He was known for his strong support of the E-town Panther spirit, which symbolised district pride and solidarity. Wade upheld EIS’s longstanding ideals and traditions while striving for progress. He supported several projects, from improving academic programs to creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for students, staff, and families.

Wade’s passion for creating a supportive educational atmosphere and preserving E-town High School’s traditions define his legacy. Beyond meetings and policy choices, he worked to improve school-community ties, leaving a lasting impression on all who worked with him.
