Wayne High School Death Investigations: The entire student community in Wayne, West Virginia is mourning the tragic and untimely death of a student who passed away after a massive heart attack on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024. According to reports, a student at the Wayne High School in Wanye, WV died after a medical emergency.
The deadly incident occurred early today. The dedicated, cheerful, and athletic teenager was rushed to the hospital following the heart attack. They passed away sadly.
Prayers For Wayne Community
Members of the Wayne, WV community have urged everyone to pray for the deceased student’s family, for the entire school community, and for the community at large. Following the unexpected incident, the LC game scheduled for Thursday, February 15th, has been canceled indefinitely, the school announced on their female basketball social media page. “Prayers for all Wayne High School students,” a concerned resident said.

Wayne HS Girls Basketball Our game scheduled for Thursday, February 15th against Russell (KY) has been canceled. Please pray for the Wayne community and all who are hurting. Parents and residents have been called on to gather at the gym as the community mourns the beloved teenager who passed away.
