Wichita Tragic Shooting: Emoni Shears and Quez, 2 teenagers killed in east Wichita targeted shooting

The Sedgwick County dispatch has confirmed the occurrence of a shooting early Saturday morning in east Wichita, resulting in the death of two individuals.

Wichita police were prompted to respond to the area of Old Manor and Kensington following a “shots fired” call just past midnight.

The victims, described by the police as an ‘older teenager’ and a ‘younger teenager,’ were later identified as Emoni Shears and Quez.

Despite being rushed to Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital for treatment, both teenagers succumbed to their injuries.

Sgt. Paul Kimble expressed the belief that this was a targeted shooting and not a random incident.
