William Black Obituary, Tiffin Born Lakeview, Ohio, Resident Has Passed Away

William Black Obituary- 61-year-old William M. “Bill” Black of Tiffin died suddenly in Lakeview, Ohio, early on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Born October 10, 1962, in Tiffin, Ohio, Thurman and Anna (Dugan) Black raised him. He married Julie Painter on November 12, 1988; she died before him on January 31, 2022.

His son Adam ( Cassandra), granddaughter Anna Black, grandchild expected in October in New Riegel, daughter Jocelyn Black of Columbus, sister Caroline (Junior) Kuhn of Bascom, brothers Jim (Suzanne) Black, John (Joyce) Black, and Steve (Nancy) Black, all of Tiffin; sister-in-law Nancy Black of Norwalk. In death, Bill was also preceded by his brother Thomas Black and parents.

After graduating from Tiffin Columbian High School, he later obtained a Mechanical Engineering degree from Terra Technical College. Bill spent 20 years of his career working for Ameriwood and the past 10 years for Concordance (Seneca Medical).

He belonged actively to the Seneca County Port Authority, All Saints Parish, Healing Hearts, Elks Lodge #94, and Moose Lodge #846. Riding his Harley, travelling, camping, hanging out with pals, Bill loved his grand puppy, Georgia. Spending time with his granddaughter Anna brought him the most delight since those were his perfect times.

With Rev. Timothy Kummerer conducting, a funeral mass scheduled for Monday, September 30, 2024 at All Saints Parish in New Riegel will start at 10:00 A.M. Thirty minutes before the Mass, a Rosary will be said; interment at Greenlawn Cemetery follows.

Friends may visit the family from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Always recognising that safety has no quitting time, the family exhorts all to ride their motorcycles.
