Woodlands Secondary School Lockdown: 3 schools on lockdown in Mississauga

Woodlands Secondary School Lockdown: As a result of concerns that a kid was in possession of a pellet gun, a high school in west Mississauga has been placed under lockdown measures, and two primary schools in the surrounding area have been placed under partial lockdown.

According to the Peel Regional Police, the Woodlands Secondary School, which is situated on Erindale Station Road and is situated two blocks north of Dundas Street West, was placed under lockdown shortly after noon.

As an additional measure of safety, the McBride Avenue Public School and the St. John XXIII Elementary School were placed in a hold-and-secure mode, which is a degree of alert that is somewhat lower than a full lockdown.

Each of the three schools may be found in the same neighborhood, which is situated to the west of Dundas Street West and Mavis Road. Officers were still looking for the young person as of 12:30 p.m., according to a post that the police made on social media. The statement stated that they reacted to complaints “of a student with a pellet gun off-site.”

As far as the authorities are aware, there have been no reports of injuries.

All of the routes leading to the school are locked during a lockdown, and both the teachers and the kids are required to remain inside their respective classes until the threat has been eliminated.
