WOOLWICH Stabbing: Boy, 14, stabbed to death in London 472 bus attack

WOOLWICH Stabbing – A 14-year-old boy was tragically stabbed to death aboard a double-decker bus on Woolwich Church Street, near the A205 South Circular Road junction, on Monday afternoon.

The attack occurred around 2:30 PM GMT on the 472 bus, leaving the teenage victim fatally injured despite swift emergency response efforts.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance arrived at the scene, but the boy was sadly pronounced dead shortly after.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service detailed the response, saying:
*”We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a paramedic from our tactical response unit. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.”*

The Metropolitan Police have launched an urgent investigation into the stabbing. While no arrests have been made, a police cordon remains in place, and road closures are affecting the area as inquiries continue.

Residents and community members expressed shock and grief over the incident, which adds to ongoing concerns about knife crime in the capital. Authorities urge anyone with information about the attack to come forward to assist the investigation.

This tragic event underscores the critical need for increased efforts to address youth violence and ensure public safety in London.
