His son, Gunnar, confirmed the news, saying, “He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed.” Gunnar also expressed gratitude for the thoughts and prayers during this time of mourning.
A Storied Career in WWE and WCW
Sid was a prominent figure in both WWE and WCW, where he won multiple world championships. He began his professional wrestling career in the late 1980s, quickly rising to fame with his imposing presence and intense rivalries.
Some of his most iconic matches include headlining WrestleMania VIII and WrestleMania XI, as well as his legendary feuds with Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and Sting.
