Jonthany Altreche, 19, Youngstown murder suspect in December 10 death of Ty’Rice Logan, 26, arrested after police chase in Youngstown
A car chase and crash ended with the arrest of a Youngstown murder suspect.
According to the release, Youngstown police attempted a traffic stop of a black BMW near Wilson Avenue. While attempting to stop the car, the driver took off, ending with a non-injury crash near the intersection of S. Montgomery and Wilson Avenues.
After the crash, police arrested 19-year-old Jonthany Altreche, a suspect in the December 10, 2023, murder of 26-year-old Ty’Rice Logan.
Logan was shot and killed around 4:40 a.m. on December 10 outside of Miss Daisy’s Place on South Avenue.
Police attempted to locate Altreche following the shooting and issued a warrant for murder on December 15.
Following the crash Saturday night, Altreche was questioned by investigators and taken to the Mahoning County Jail on a murder charge.
He is expected to be arraigned in Youngstown Municipal Court on Monday.
