Zac Brunkala Death – Owner-operator at R n Z Motorsports & Auto Recycling Zac Brunkala of Willoughby, Ohio has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 17th October 2024 after a tragic accident with tow truck.
He was confirmed dead through a post that reads “Yesterday Zac Brunkala passed away tragically. He used to have Hollie Myers bring him to my place to pickup his race parts. Since, I have known him. He went from a customer to a friend.”
Authorities are investigating a tragic multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Thursday afternoon on State Route 2, resulting in the death of a tow truck driver. According to a press release from the Willoughby Police Department, the incident took place around 4 p.m. when a flatbed tow truck collided with a plumbing truck.
The initial impact led to a chain reaction, with both the plumbing truck and the tow truck subsequently crashing into additional vehicles on the busy highway. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene, where they found the driver of the flatbed tow truck, identified by loved ones as Zac Brunkala, in critical condition. He was extracted from the wreckage and transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
The crash not only claimed the life of Brunkala but also resulted in significant disruptions to traffic on State Route 2. Police closed the highway in both directions as they conducted their investigation, which lasted until nearly 10 p.m., causing lengthy delays for motorists.
