Zachariah S. Breeden Crash Death: Rocky Mount, MI man killed in crash that closed Grand Glaize Bridge
A man was hit and killed by a small SUV on a Lake of the Ozarks bridge Thursday afternoon.
Zachariah S. Breeden, 30, of Rocky Mount, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit on the Grand Glaize Bridge while being picked up by Austin J. Mcfall, 28, of Camdenton, the Osage Beach Police Department said in a news release.
Police say Breeden was getting into McFall’s stopped GMC Acadia on the bridge when he was hit by a Kia Sorento driven by Emma A. Greitlein, 24, of Osage Beach. Breeden was outside the vehicle, which was parked in the far right lane with hazard lights, police say.
McFall and four passengers were checked for injuries and refused transport to a hospital, the release says. Greitlein was also checked out at the scene and refused transport.
Police say Greitlein tried to avoid a collision by swerving to the left, hitting the driver’s side of the SUV and Breeden.
