54-year-old Paula killed, 4 others injured in car after shooting turned crash in Memphis
The Memphis Police Department is seeking individuals connected to a shooting incident that resulted in a fatal crash, claiming the life of a woman.
Authorities were called to a crash scene at Park Avenue and Pendleton Street in Orange Mound at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Following the shooting, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a pole.
The crash did not involve any other vehicles.
Memphis police indicate that there were five occupants in the car during the shooting.
Following the crash, a 25-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
Tragically, a 54-year-old woman identified as Paula discovered at the scene was taken to Regional One Hospital, where she succumbed to gunshot wounds.
The incident left a 2-year-old boy with non-critical injuries, treated at LeBonheur.
Thankfully, an 8-year-old boy and a 7-month-old girl emerged unscathed.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a white car, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
