Aaron Kime Boat Accident, Missing Ohio Boater Aaron Kime found dead in Ohio River

Aaron Kime Boat Accident – The Ohio River was the scene of a tragic accident early Monday morning when 48-year-old Aaron Kime fell from his boat and went missing.

After an intense search effort, the Gallatin County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) confirmed that Kime’s body was recovered on Tuesday afternoon near the area where he had fallen into the water.

The incident occurred in the quiet town of Warsaw, Kentucky, near Paint Lick Road. Kime had been out on the river with friends, enjoying a late-night boat ride.

According to reports, the group was returning from a pleasure boating trip that was unrelated to any large events, such as Riverfest, a popular festival held on the river during the summer.

Kime was seated safely on his boat when he suddenly stood up and tragically lost his balance, falling overboard into the dark water at around 3 a.m. His friends immediately sprang into action, but despite their quick response, they were unable to save him.

Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office and other authorities were alerted shortly after the accident, launching a large-scale search and rescue mission that spanned multiple agencies. As daylight broke and initial rescue efforts failed to locate Kime, the mission shifted from search and rescue to a recovery operation.

Gallatin County Emergency Management Director Brandon Terrell confirmed that the search continued into Tuesday, with numerous agencies and resources committed to the task. Ultimately, Kime’s body was discovered just before 12:30 p.m. in the area where he had fallen.

At least 10 different agencies collaborated in the effort to recover Kime’s body. These agencies, working in tandem, deployed boats and sonar equipment in the hopes of bringing closure to the grieving family.

The coordinated response included the Gallatin County Fire Department, Jeff-Craig Fire Department, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and other local organizations. Their tireless efforts over the two-day period showcased the dedication and commitment of the emergency response teams involved in the recovery.
