Caleb Holcomb Goshen IN Death – Family and friends have taken to social media to mourn the death of Caleb Holcomb who passed away recently. The actual cause of what led to Caleb Holcomb’s death has not been made known at this time.
Born on June 10, 2005, in Indianapolis, IN, was a vibrant young man whose passions and dreams touched the lives of everyone around him. The son of Mark and Suzanne (Moudy) Holcomb, Caleb’s journey was marked by a blend of academic ambition, family devotion, and a deep love for the outdoors.
As a proud 2024 graduate of NorthWood High School, Caleb was already making strides toward his future. He had enrolled at Ivy Tech, driven by a strong desire to build a career in the medical field. This ambition showcased not only his intelligence but also his commitment to helping others, a trait that endeared him to many.
Caleb’s work experience as a bag boy at Martin’s Supermarket in Nappanee was another reflection of his character. He approached every task with a positive attitude and a readiness to assist others, earning the respect of his coworkers and customers alike.
His commitment to service extended beyond his job; as a 10-year member of the Poultry Club in 4H, he cultivated a sense of responsibility and leadership that would serve him well in all areas of life. The Elkhart County 4H Fair was a highlight for Caleb, a place where he celebrated his passion for agriculture and community.
An outdoors enthusiast, Caleb found joy in fly fishing and cherished the moments spent at the family cottage on Thompson Lake in Sturgis, MI. Those serene days by the water offered him a chance to unwind and connect with nature, reflecting his adventurous spirit and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Caleb is survived by his parents, Mark & Suzanne Holcomb of Goshen; a brother, Ridge Holcomb of Goshen; maternal grandparents, Dwight and Linda Moudy of Nappanee; and an uncle, Jim (Brittney) Moudy of Bourbon. Caleb was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Tanya Holcomb. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. A memorial service will begin at 6 pm and Pastor Ed Geleske will officiate.
