Esamay Heese Death – A car struck and killed a 12-year-old girl in northwest Wichita on Saturday night.At at 5:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of W. 13th Street in regard to a pedestrian-involved traffic incident, according to the Wichita Police Department.
Police found a 12-year-old girl hit by a Jeep SUV as it was going west on 13th Street when they arrived. Accompanying her, a girl was unharmed.After being taken to a nearby hospital, the victim unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. On Monday, her father officially recognized her as Esamay Heese.
In an interview, Esamay’s father expressed his desire for children to give this serious consideration. Noting that he did not hold the driver responsible, he expressed a desire to extend a hand of forgiveness. In order to assist Esamay’s family, a GoFundMe page has been set up.
