Who was Jeff Deprosperis?
Jeff was enthusiastic about life, especially football, his favourite sport. He made history by winning the 2002 Canadian National Soccer Championships for Brock University.
He coached and organised the All-Catholic Girls’ Football Tournament and was a beloved teacher and director of St John’s College’s Physical Education Department for 21 years, creating community spirit.
Jeff enjoyed driving his Mustang, watching Italian soccer with his parents and BBQing outside of work. He liked his dog Mario, his plant “Spikey,” and his enormous Jordan shoe collection. Most significantly, he enjoyed every moment with his two sons, Peter and Dante, building a backyard football pitch each spring.
Cancer was Jeff’s biggest challenge in 2022. He focused on treatment for two and a half years, researching and consulting cancer experts worldwide.
