Sheena Fitzgerald Pittsburgh, PA Death: Woman died on August 26 crash on Route 28

Sheena Fitzgerald Pittsburgh, PA Death – A tragic multi-vehicle accident early Monday morning on Route 28 claimed the life of a 34-year-old woman and left another individual seriously injured.

The accident, which occurred just after 7 a.m., involved four vehicles: a Dodge Challenger, a Dodge Dart, a Ford F-350, and a Hyundai Kona. The incident has raised concerns about speeding and road safety, serving as a sobering reminder of the devastating consequences that can arise from reckless driving.

The crash unfolded when Sheena Fitzgerald, 34, was driving her Dodge Challenger southbound on Route 28. According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police, Fitzgerald was traveling at a high rate of speed when she attempted to overtake a Ford F-350.

As she maneuvered to pass the truck, she struck its rear bumper. The impact caused Fitzgerald to lose control of her vehicle, which then careened off the road and into the center median. The Challenger crossed the median and entered the northbound lanes, where it struck a guardrail.

The collision with the guardrail launched the Dodge Challenger into the air. As the vehicle came crashing down, it collided with the hood and windshield of a northbound Dodge Dart.

The force of the impact propelled the Challenger further into the path of a Hyundai Kona, driven by Jonathan Sands, who was also traveling northbound. Sands’ vehicle struck the Challenger, causing severe damage to both cars.
